What is the best file format, image size and resolution?
JPEG or TIFF files provide the best file format for reproduction.
JPEGS can be 1-2MB for up to a 11x14, 4-6MB up to 20x24
and 8-10MB for larger prints.
How do I save my file?
We recomment using a graphics editing program such as
Adobe Photoshop (used successfully by the majority of
our customers)
1. Flatten all layers.
2. Remove all extra channels, paths and masks.
3. Save the file as either TIFF (.tif extension) or JPEG
(.jpg extension).
4. Save the embedded profile, either sRGB or Adobe RGB
(1998). Note - if a profile is not embedded we will assume
sRGB.
5. Your file must be saved without LZW compression.
JPEG or TIFF files provide the best file format for
reproduction. Files should be no larger than 10mb in
size and should be at least 300dpi resolution.
Can you make a collage from multiple photos?
No, we recommend that you use a photo collage program
and send us the file.
Can you work with a traditional prints?
Yes, you can mail us your Photo or inkjet prints.
Do you do black and white?
Yes. Black and white photographs look beautiful on this
media.

How much does it cost to ship my print?
Unless otherwise specified, all art is shipped UPS Ground.
Do you custom make special sizes?
YES, we have a wide range of imaging sizes and understand
that you may have special needs. Please call or email
your request. Shipping restrictions or additional costs
may apply.
Can you use a professional photograph?
Yes. You must provide the photographer's reproduction
permission in writing to print an image from a digital
file. If you provide a print, no release from the photographer
is required. Proof of permission can be faxed to 800-668-7831.
What we are not responsible for.
All Images are processed with an over laminate to protect
your image from sunlight and humidity unless otherwise
ordered. We do not laminate Metallic photographs as this
detracts from the original look of the metallic print.
We will not be held responsible for damage to your photo,
artwork or Giclée and suggest that you insure
it with your shipping carrier, and use a shipper that
provides tracking information.
We are not responsible for damage to any original art
that is sent to us and suggest that you provide a good
copy for us to mount.
We will not be held responsible for late delivery to
any gallery showing or photo trade contest. Shipping
times very with our production schedule. If you need
the finished prints returned at a specific time please
call or email us and we will try to meet your requirements.
Color is always subjective. When imaging your work we
will do our best to color balance your file with the
color profiles that we provide.
We process the boards as a wood product. Your image
may be trimmed up to 1/4" on each side to accommodate
mounting. We are not responsible for any compositional
details that are at the edge of the VisionTek Pro Mounts. |
